A Lifetales Media personal history service
Every family has a story someone keeps meaning to write down. It might be the journey that brought a parent to a new home, the work a grandparent took pride in, a childhood place everyone remembers, or a turning point that changed a life. One Story, Beautifully Told helps you preserve that story while the person who lived it can still tell it in their own words.
We begin with a conversation about the story you want to capture and the people who should be part of it. I’ll prepare thoughtful questions, then conduct a recorded interview of approximately 60 to 90 minutes. You don’t need to arrive with a polished account. Memories can come in fragments, and we can follow the details that matter most to you.
After the interview, I’ll shape the material into a short, engaging narrative. If you have a few photographs, letters, or other meaningful records, we can use them to add context and select images for the finished piece. You’ll receive a draft to review so you can correct details and tell me whether it sounds like the person and story you know.
Your finished story includes:
- One planning conversation and one recorded interview
- A polished narrative of approximately three to five pages
- Up to three photographs or document images with captions, if provided
- One round of revisions
- A digital copy to keep and share with family
This service is designed for one focused story. It can stand on its own as a gift or keepsake, or become the first chapter of a larger memoir or family history. Additional interviews, extensive research, and printed books can be discussed separately.
